Palindrome President, Mike Noon, began his career in lighting in 1985 as an architectural specifications representative for several notable commercial and architectural lighting manufacturers. He opened Palindrome Lighting Design in 1999 as an independent source of lighting design and analysis for commercial, institutional, and residential projects. He carries a BS in Interior Design and expanded the practice as Palindrome Design Associates to include Interior Design in 2008 as a licensed Maryland Certified Interior Designer (CID lic. #2220).  He is an ASID Professional, past at-large Board Member, and certified for commercial Interior Design by the NCIDQ, and certified in Lighting Design by the NCQLP, and LEED AP.   He is past-President of the Maryland Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IESNA), and an Associate Member of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD).

Mike has provided professional mentorship to design students at George Washington University, Marymount University, and the Community Colleges of Baltimore County, and taught the practicum section of the NCIDQ Exam review.  He is always open to opportunities to have an entertaining talk about lighting, interior design, and business in general, for students and fellow design professionals.

Co-founder and President, Patty Noon brings finance and project management to the Palindrome operation along with design production and specification, overseeing aspects of design and production,  procurement, and financials. Her close involvement in all projects ensures clients can always obtain information and services on critical turn-around, when they need them most. She is a graduate in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and a CPA.  Her attention to detail and operational management experience is a strong compliment to her work in design and procurement. Patty is also involved in contracts, analysis, and design production at Palindrome, helping to ensure timely and accurate deliverables for all Palindrome clients.
